Job summary

Southworth International Group (SIGI), based in Manila, AR, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture across manufacturing and office locations. The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and site leadership.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of industrial safety experience, with strong OSHA knowledge and incident-investigation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive safety experience in heavy manufacturing or related industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards and safety regulations.
• Experience supporting operations with heavy machinery, welding, fabrication, and material handling.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, audits, and corrective actions.
• Ability to develop practical safety programs, procedures, and training materials.
• Excellent communication and training skills with hourly workers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve region-wide EHS programs, policies, and training materials.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Lead safety for welding, machining, fabrication, assembly, and material handling operations.
• Coordinate safety audits, risk assessments, JHAs/JSAs, and corrective actions.
• Manage core safety programs: Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, PPE, Overhead Crane and Hoist Safety, Fall Protection, etc.
• Investigate injuries and incidents using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance on equipment installations and safety reviews.
• Oversee contractor and visitor safety expectations and communications.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety training for staff and leadership.
• Maintain EHS records and regulatory reports.
