Job summary

SPC Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead occupational health and safety programs across one or more project sites in the NY/NJ metro.

The role emphasizes trend analysis, regulatory compliance, and technical safety expertise to safeguard workers. You will support training, risk mitigation, and emergency planning for the Palisades Tunnel Project, a high-profile infrastructure effort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety or related field required.
• 8+ years’ experience in construction or safety required.
• Experience managing construction or safety teams required.
• Ability to train and mentor safety professionals and assign tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety program and procedures for one or more project sites.
• Perform project site trend analysis and track accidents, injuries, fire, property damage.
• Develop and conduct safety orientations, trainings, and toolbox talks.
• Ensure all permits and certifications are active and tracked.
• Provide technical safety expertise for training, equipment, and inspections.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and procurement for safety items.
• Provide project status and trend analyses to management.
• Review DHA and JHA documentation for safety performance.
• Create or approve worksite safety and evacuation plans.
