Job summary

Jaquith Consulting Group seeks a Safety Manager to implement, monitor, and manage safety across heavy civil construction operations for the Hudson Tunnel Project. Build a safety culture that exceeds baseline compliance and leads safety across on-site teams in NY/NJ.

The role requires ten years of safety program experience, OSHA 30, BBS knowledge, and strong regulatory familiarity with 29 CFR standards and USACE requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience implementing, monitoring, and managing safety for heavy civil construction programs/projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience implementing a Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program.
• Knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry standards (29 CFR 1926 and 29 CFR 1910).
• Experience developing and implementing Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-track safety programs and FRA requirements.
• Ensure compliance with FTA oversight and certifications.
• Lead safety culture development and program leadership.
• Manage incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with safety teams and regulators across NY/NJ.
