Job summary

SPC Construction is seeking a Health & Safety leader to serve as Safety Manager for one or more project sites in Monmouth Beach. You will oversee health and safety programs, analyze trends, and ensure regulatory compliance to protect workers and the public.

The role requires 8+ years in construction safety, team leadership, and a proven ability to develop training, conduct orientations, and drive continuous safety improvements on a major infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience in construction or safety.
• Experience managing construction or safety teams.
• Ability to mentor and train safety professionals.
• Strong knowledge of safety principles and compliant mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety program and procedures for project sites within the district.
• Analyze site trends and track accidents, injuries, fire, property damage and other incidents.
• Develop and conduct safety orientations and trainings; oversee toolbox talks.
• Ensure permits and certifications are active and tracked to avoid delays.
• Provide technical safety support for training, equipment needs and inspections.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and procurement for safety items.
• Provide project status and safety trend analysis to management.
• Review DHA and JHA documents and ensure mitigation actions.
• Create or approve worksite safety and evacuation plans; support emergency planning.
