Panasonic Energy in De Soto, Kansas, is seeking a Sr. Safety Specialist to shape safety culture across a world-class lithium‑ion battery facility.

You will implement and improve occupational health and safety programs, lead risk assessments, audits, and incidents, and partner with project teams to drive regulatory compliance and operational excellence. You will mentor teams, deliver safety training, and support emergency preparedness while maintaining compliance with OSHA and industry standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; relevant experience may substitute.
• 4+ years of safety experience in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Experience leading safety programs, audits, incidents, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of safety programs and systems.
• Provide visible safety leadership and incident response support.
• Manage safety records, permits, reports, and metrics.
• Lead risk assessments, JHA, MOC, and safety training initiatives.
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and root cause analyses.
