Rowell Chemical Corporation is seeking a Safety and Environmental Site Manager to oversee the facility’s environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs in Willow Springs, IL. You will promote a safe operating environment, lead training, and coordinate with leadership, maintenance and regulatory counterparts.

The role requires a strong background in regulatory compliance for chemical manufacturing, plus significant EHS leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related environmental/safety field preferred.
• 10+ years in chemical manufacturing operations or 15+ years in chemical plant with regulatory compliance experience.
• 3+ years of front-line supervisory or management experience.
• 3+ years of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (ESHS) experience.
• 1+ year of process engineering exposure including material, energy, cost and capacity considerations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee Environmental, Health & Safety compliance across federal, state, local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Develop and maintain SOPs and safety policies; monitor adherence and drive improvements.
• Lead training, incident investigations, and corrective actions; coordinate with local responders.
• Collaborate with facility leadership and maintenance to address safety, environmental, and operational concerns.
• Drive proactive safety culture with training programs and contractor safety oversight.
