Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a Safety, Environmental and Mission Assurance Manager to lead safety and environmental compliance for SIMO operations in Merritt Island, FL. You will promote a proactive safety culture, oversee training, inspections, incident analysis, and emergency preparedness while advising leadership on risk reduction and safe work execution.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of related operational or industrial safety experience in heavy infrastructure.
• Six years in a lead or supervisory role, in addition to the minimum experience requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Industrial, Safety and Health or related field; alternative of high school diploma with four years of experience per tracker.
• OSHA 30 certification, emergency medical training, and Incident Command System (ICS) certifications, as listed in the tracker.
• Security clearance eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Ensure employees follow applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements and promote safe execution across SIMO operations.
• Oversee safety training and communication on policies, regulations, procedures, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.
• Advise program and administrative leadership on safety and environmental issues associated with projects, maintenance, operations, and emergency response.
• Conduct or coordinate inspections and assessments to verify compliance with applicable requirements and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate, current safety and environmental records and required documentation.
• Analyze incident reports, injury trends, metrics, and case studies; recommend and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Support reliability and quality-assurance implementation assessments and coordinate findings with responsible teams.
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the assigned functional area, including work standards, daily priorities, policies, resource planning, and performance monitoring.
• Lead, coach, and support safety personnel and operational leaders; foster an open, collaborative reporting environment free from fear or intimidation.
• Support hurricane preparation, emergency planning, disaster response, and recovery coordination as applicable to the contract.
• Monitor personnel productivity, performance, and safety, and verify LCAT compliance for assigned functions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations leadership to ensure safety and environmental considerations are integrated into work planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
