Altria, in Richmond, VA, seeks a Senior Safety Engineer to join the Safety, Health and Environmental team. The role focuses on advancing safety management systems, reducing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance across manufacturing sites.

You will lead risk assessments, investigations and safety programs for Richmond-area locations, with onsite work and relocation benefits. A CSP and 5+ years of experience are required, plus travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field.
• 5+ years of safety management and compliance experience in manufacturing or consulting industry.
• Willing to travel 10%.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

Responsabilités

• Enhance Safety Management Systems to reduce risk and improve compliance.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive safety program adoption and behavioral improvements.
• Perform formal risk assessments and develop abatement plans.
• Lead investigations and support regulatory inspections and inquiries.
• Serve as the Richmond facility safety engineer and onsite safety liaison.
