Job summary

M. A. Mortenson Company is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer I to implement the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites and ensure a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors.

You will lead safety activities, audits, and training, collaborate with client safety personnel, unions, and risk engineers, and travel up to 100% to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent.
• High school diploma with CHST Certification, OSHA 500, and 10 years of construction safety experience.
• Minimum of four years of construction safety experience.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety software.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer safety programs at worksites and provide training.
• Document and track safety violations, conduct audits, and analyze data.
• Lead OSHA reporting and review safety submittals.
• Record and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics.
• Provide safety information and evaluate industrial hygiene concerns.
• Attend safety meetings and assist with major incident analysis.
