Job summary

Ford Energy, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, seeks an experienced Occupational Safety professional to lead plant-wide safety programs and risk assessments. You will guide safety operations, audits, and cross-functional investigations across locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective training.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in OH&S (Master’s preferred), 4+ years of safety experience, and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of occupational safety work experience.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Must be available to work various shifts.
• Lifting up to 10–25 pounds and walking/standing as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Guide plant-wide safety processes including safety operating system and training orientations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Lead safety/ergonomic risk assessments for new equipment and processes.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional leaders.
• Lead training program development to prevent employee injuries and illnesses.
