Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Manager, Safety Compliance to develop, manage, and maintain occupational health and safety policies and programs. You will lead a team supporting customer contractor management systems (ISN, Avetta) and drive safety initiatives across our customer base.

The role requires 5–10 years of safety and health experience, strong leadership, and travel up to 20%. You will collaborate with National Account Managers and field teams to ensure regulatory compliance and robust

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Extensive knowledge of OSHA, FAA, OHSA, EPA, MSHA and health standards.
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them.
Experience leading safety programs and customer contractor management systems.

Responsibilities

Generate and manage responses to customer safety inquiries, including pre-qualification packages and audits.
Support field safety team with data requests and questions; liaise with National Account Managers.
Review safety sections of legal documents to support contract reviews.
Develop and lead safety strategy projects, training development, and department needs.
Maintain occupational safety policies and procedures; update for regulatory changes.
Oversee contractor management systems (ISN, Avetta) and report submittals.
Monitor injury reporting, prepare monthly/quarterly safety reports.
Lead and mentor the team; conduct performance reviews and develop staff.
