Job summary

United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider seeking a Division Safety Manager to ensure safety compliance and program administration across assigned regions. You will lead safety training, audits, and incident investigations while partnering with the corporate Safety department and regional teams to reduce risk and injuries.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in safety/health, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably relating to Safety and Health.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of professional-level safety experience.
• Ability to persuasively communicate with all levels of management.
• Strong training and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other operations apps.
• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI CFR 1910 and 1926.
• FMCRs knowledge related to rental industry.
• Occupational Health-Safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, implement, and oversee safety and loss prevention programs.
• Oversee OSHA, DOT, and related compliance activities.
• Enforce safe work practices to protect employees and assets.
• Investigate incidents and identify root causes, implementing preventative measures.
• Communicate with Safety department, customer safety managers, and regional management.
• Develop and deliver training programs aligned with regulations and business needs.
• Identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks with programs and policies.
• Perform other duties as needed.
