Job summary

Assured Information Security, Inc. seeks a Solution Train Engineer to lead coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of a complex SAFe program within a cyber-focused DoD environment.

The role oversees Solution Train events, manages value flow across multiple trains, and aligns dependencies among engineering teams, vendors, and cybersecurity partners. The position is onsite in Columbia, MD and requires TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with 18 years experience (15 years with Master’s) or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating complex programs with multiple Agile Release Trains and suppliers.
• Strong SAFe understanding in cyber-centric DoD programs.
• Experience supporting DoD contracts or government tech initiatives.
• Proven facilitation of large-scale planning, execution and continuous improvement events.
• Proficient with Jira and Confluence for program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Solution Train execution and large-scale ceremonies (Pre/Post-PI Planning, Solution Demos, Inspect & Adapt, Value Stream Syncs).
• Manage value flow across multiple Agile Release Trains and align dependencies.
• Coordinate architectural alignment and integration across trains and suppliers.
• Foster collaboration among engineering leads, PMO, vendors, and cybersecurity partners.
• Identify and resolve impediments, risks, and dependencies across teams and trains.
• Provide delivery progress reporting and maintain documentation on requirements and risks.
• Mentor Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, and other Agile leaders in Lean-Agile practices.
