Job summary

L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems in Camden, NJ, seeks an experienced Senior Rust Software Developer to guide the adoption of Rust across embedded systems. You will translate requirements into robust, memory-safe solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers, participating in a Scrum team and shaping product and infrastructure direction.

Required are DoD Secret clearance, a related bachelor's degree with years of experience, and strong Rust/C/C++ skills.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field; 6+ years experience; graduate degree with 4+ years or 10+ years experience in lieu of degree.
3+ years of Rust development for production systems with deep Rust knowledge.
Experience with C/C++ development.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support embedded software development with Rust.
Lead adoption and deployment of Rust across product lines.
Apply CS/engineering principles to software for target hardware.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on interfaces between hardware and software.
Participate in all SDLC phases and perform root cause analysis.
Develop software test plans and documentation.
Use modeling tools to establish operating data and test results.
Participate in peer reviews and defect tracking.
Work with languages Rust, C/C++, Python.
