Job summary

L̥3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Rust Software Developer in Camden, NJ. You will guide the adoption of Rust across embedded systems, lead memory-safe design, and translate requirements into robust Rust/C/C++ solutions for mission-critical environments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years Rust production experience, DoD security clearance, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor's (or higher) in a related field is required, with extensive embedded development expertise to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years of experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of Rust for production systems; strong Rust understanding.
• Experience with C/C++ development; embedded systems experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide adoption of Rust across embedded development.
• Lead deployment of Rust across multiple product lines and ensure memory-safe usage.
• Translate requirements into maintainable Rust/C/C++ solutions for DoD centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design interfaces between hardware and software.
• Develop software test plans and participate in peer reviews and defect tracking.
