Infleqtion, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with deep expertise in Rust and embedded systems to join our cross-functional engineering team.

You will work across the stack—from low-level embedded Rust to frontend interfaces—collaborating with hardware, firmware, and application teams to deliver high-performance systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 5 years of Rust development experience.
• Experience in embedded software using Rust and/or C++.
• Working knowledge of gateware development and hardware/software integration (FPGA-based).
• Frontend development exposure (JS/TS, React, etc.).
• Strong background in developing and debugging embedded Linux environments.
• Familiarity with embedded/system-level interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet).
• Solid understanding of memory safety, concurrency, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hardware, physics, and software teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Maintain documentation of designs, workflows, and processes per internal standards.
• Contribute to integrating Rust-based middleware and driver software for device control.
• Collaborate with hardware/FPGA teams to develop drivers and interfaces for embedded devices.
• Develop and maintain system-level APIs and communication layers.
• Contribute to frontend development to support tooling, visualization, or user interfaces.
• Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
