Job summary

EX Squared LATAM is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a client’s distributed technology teams and contribute to a multi-year modernization program for a major media platform. Fully remote position within LATAM with a daily overlap of at least 4 hours with Eastern Time.

You will work on a large Rails 8 application that serves as a public-facing website, editorial CMS, and integration hub for ticketing, event-management, and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience in large production codebases.
• Recent hands-on work with Rails 7 or Rails 8.
• Strong front-end integration with Hotwire, Turbo, Stimulus and Tailwind CSS.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge including performance optimization and indexing.
• Experience building and maintaining background jobs with Sidekiq.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend features across a large Rails 8 application, including models, controllers, jobs and views.
• Develop interactive front-ends using Hotwire and Tailwind CSS.
• Strengthen CMS and content authoring experiences in Rails.
• Integrate third-party ticketing, event-management and CRM platforms via REST APIs.
• Design resilient integrations with retry logic and idempotent operations.
