Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to lead Rails-based web apps that support social service data analysis. This remote role welcomes talent worldwide and focuses on scalable, secure, high-performance systems.

You will mentor engineers, guide architecture decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust solutions, using Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in full-stack software engineering.
• Experience developing full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails is required.
• Familiarity with Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus); Tailwind CSS; PostgreSQL; RSpec and FactoryBot.
• Advanced experience with Git, including code review workflows and CI/CD integration.
• Advanced SQL optimization and data modeling skills.
• Experience designing and building APIs and scalable systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor other engineers.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design discussions and provide architectural guidance across complex application development efforts
• Conduct and lead code reviews, offering constructive feedback and enforcing coding standards and best practices
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting skill development and technical growth
• Evaluate and recommend tools, libraries, and frameworks to improve development efficiency and system performance
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to ensure system reliability and continuous improvement
