Job summary

Proxify is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to lead the development and scaling of high‑performing web applications. You will optimize architectures, manage complex domain models, and champion engineering practices for long lifecycles.

You will leverage modern AI workflows to accelerate delivery, implement robust testing, and contribute to the Rails ecosystem while collaborating with a globally distributed team. CET timezone alignment is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience with Ruby and Rails.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns and domain-driven design.
• Experience with automated testing (RSpec/Minitest).
• Experience integrating AI development tools into engineering workflows.
• Contributions to open-source Rails ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend architectures for complex domains.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted coding practices within the team.
• Identify and optimize N+1 queries; tune indexes and memory usage.
• Conduct code reviews per Ruby Style Guide and SOLID principles.
• Promote open-source best practices in private repositories.
