Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of progressively responsible experience operating heavy equipment.
• Experience in right-of-way maintenance, vegetation management, streets, drainage, or related municipal maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and traffic control.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, mowers, loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment for rights-of-way maintenance.
• Provide crew guidance and assist daily work coordination to ensure safe operations.
• Inspect work areas; report maintenance needs and hazards to supervisor.
• Assist with traffic control and TMUTCD compliance.
• Attend training and safety meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
