Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in maintenance and/or construction equipment operation.
• 2 years of experience for Equipment Operator Specialist.
• 4 years of experience for Equipment Operator Senior with substitutions allowed.
• Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License with an N endorsement and a Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing support to local law enforcement at accident sites and helps stranded motorists as required.
• Assists with traffic control; places and gathers cones, warning signs and barricades; flags traffic.
• Completes timekeeping, equipment forms, inventory, accident forms, PMI checklists and documents work progress.
• Operates light equipment (front-end loader, pneumatic roller, etc.) and heavy equipment (tractor-trailer haul truck, motor grader, excavator, bulldozer, etc.).
• Performs PMI, routine servicing and minor repairs; trains others on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• May serve as work crew lead to ensure work meets specifications and coordinate daily assignments.
