Job summary

The City of Seguin seeks an Equipment Operator I - Stormwater/Drainage to operate light to heavy equipment for drainage construction and maintenance. Qualifications

• Must read and comprehend routine maintenance documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Work outdoors in variable weather and around heavy equipment.
• Operate standard maintenance tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operates light to heavy equipment for drainage projects and maintenance.
• Performs underground storm drain maintenance, open channel cleaning, and inspections.
• Provides traffic control for construction and special events.
• Responds to emergencies and on-call requests as required.
• Uses PPE and follows safety protocols during duties.
