Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is hiring a Senior Right of Way Agent for Richmond, VA, Raleigh, NC, and Charlotte, NC to support electric transmission projects. The role focuses on land rights acquisition, negotiations, and preparation of entry documents for project needs.

Requires extensive ROW experience, real estate knowledge, and travel ability. Company offers comprehensive benefits and a 12‑month limited-term contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• 7+ years ROW experience; 2+ years in transmission projects.
• Active real estate license preferred; notary public or ability to obtain within 30 days is required.
• IRWA membership a plus; travel regionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS and data management software.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with landowners and designees.
• Resolve complex damage claims related to construction.
• Determine present ownership and interests via records.
• Assist in establishing fair market values for land acquisitions.
• Prepare documents for rights of entry, leases, permits and related agreements.
