DNV Energy Systems North America seeks a Rotating Machinery Senior Engineer SME to support advisory services for M&A, IE, and OE. The role covers thermal and wind assets, root-cause analysis, and reliability engineering to guide asset decisions. Hybrid schedule across multiple North American offices with travel ~20%.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years of rotating equipment experience, strong technical judgment, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical preferred, or related discipline).
• Eight+ years of experience in rotating machinery across thermal and wind assets.
• Experience evaluating asset condition, performance and reliability in operational environments.
• Strong RCA and failure investigations experience.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering principles and lifecycle risk.
• Ability to travel up to ~20% and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as rotating machinery SME across advisory engagements for thermal and wind assets.
• Lead technical evaluations, including gas/steam turbines and wind drivetrain systems.
• Assess asset condition and reliability using data, inspections, and maintenance history.
• Perform RCA for failures and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Support due diligence, site visits, and client workshops with clear insights.
• Contribute to technical reports and client deliverables; mentor team members.
