Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own simulation and hardware test infrastructure, enabling automated, whole-system testing for Sentry Towers. You’ll develop declarative multi-node virtual towers, CI pipelines, and hardware-in-the-loop workflows across Jetson-based towers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering, with experience building test infra for hardware-driven systems.
• Proficiency in Python for test authoring and automation; ability to read/debug Rust or C++ services.
• Demonstrated experience automating tests against physical hardware: provisioning, remote power/reset, serial consoles, network booting.
• Strong CI/CD engineering skills, including pipelines with hardware resource contention and scheduled execution.
• Experience with declarative configuration and reproducible builds; knowledge of Nix/NixOS preferred.
• Solid Linux fundamentals: systemd, networking, filesystems, boot processes.
• Judgment to prioritize tests with cost/benefit and fix flaky tests.
• US person status with eligibility to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow SITL environments with variants and scenarios and keep sensor/video pipelines faithful.
• Build functional coverage on HITL benches for motion, camera/sensor bring-up, firmware update paths, and failover.
• Own end-to-end CI integration: scheduling, dependencies, artifact/log capture, results reporting, and flake triage.
• Grow the test platform to cover new compute generations, payloads, and variants.
• Make failures diagnosable by improving log/serial capture and test artifacts for CI diagnosability.
• Partner with hardware/manufacturing to build HITL benches, fixtures, power control, and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with firmware, platform, and business teams to add tests against your framework.
