Apptronik is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to scale the DevOps platform across Kubernetes on bare metal, VMs and cloud. You will own architecture decisions, implement robust CI/CD, and ensure safety and reliability as the robot fleet grows.

The role emphasizes hands-on debugging, building scalable tooling in Go or Python, and designing for failure with security baked in. Collaborative with robotics software teams, you will drive production readiness and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or engineering.
• 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering experience with hybrid clouds.
• Experience building infrastructure from scratch and running it in production.

Responsabilités

• Manage and scale Kubernetes platform on bare metal, VMs, and public cloud.
• Build CI/CD infrastructure including runners, remote build execution, caching, registries, and autoscaling.
• Design for failure with backups, multi-site recovery, and drills.
• Enable GitOps delivery with progressive rollouts and automatic rollback.
• Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs and build monitoring/alerting.
• Debug production issues from Kubernetes to kernel, network, and disk; fix root causes.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm; write Go or Python tooling.
• Embed security: SSO, RBAC, secret management, patched OS.
• Collaborate with robotics software teams on architecture and production readiness.
• Plan capacity and cost across on-prem and cloud as the fleet grows.
