Proven Recruiting, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Senior or Senior Principal Robotics Software Engineer to own and scale a multi-robot automation platform. The role is onsite in San Diego, focusing on architecture, multi-arm coordination, and production-ready software.

You will advance motion planning, calibration, and world-model integration with real hardware, contributing to system performance and architecture decisions. The position offers a competitive salary range and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing robotics software with motion planning, collision avoidance, and manipulation.
• Strong knowledge of forward and inverse kinematics, calibration, digital twins/world models, and planning against real-world hardware constraints.
• Proficient in Python and/or modern C++, with hands-on experience building software that controls physical robotic systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to work full-time onsite in San Diego.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop motion planning, trajectory generation, collision avoidance, and multi-robot coordination capabilities for advanced robotic automation systems.
• Build and enhance robotics software components including world modeling, calibration workflows, device control, and hardware integration.
• Partner with hardware and process engineering teams to validate performance on real robotic systems and bridge the gap between simulation and production environments.
• Help drive next-generation robotics architecture, improve system performance, and serve as a key technical contributor within a growing engineering organization.
