Job summary

Raise Robotics is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to develop models and algorithms for generating safe and accurate trajectories on our robots, and to implement and test the onboard motion planning stack.

You will work with motion planning libraries, build large-scale simulations, and collaborate with perception and control teams to ensure robust interfaces and reliable operation across sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing motion planning software.
• Expertise with articulated robots (6-DOF/7-DOF arms) and unstructured env navigation.
• Experience deploying robots to work in semi-structured environments using perception.
• Experience developing ML models for trajectory generation.
• Familiarity with Gazebo, MuJoCo, or Isaac for simulation.

Responsibilities

• Work with existing motion planning libraries and develop custom algorithms.
• Create large-scale simulations to test onboard behavior.
• Collaborate with perception and control engineers to define interfaces.
• Analyze logs and failure cases to improve systems.
• Build task-level planning logic for mobile manipulation.
