Job summary

Raise Robotics is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to develop models and algorithms for generating safe and accurate trajectories on our robots, and to implement and test the onboard motion planning stack.

You will work with motion planning libraries, build large-scale simulations, and collaborate with perception and control teams to ensure robust interfaces and reliable operation across sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing motion planning software.
• Expertise with articulated robots (6-DOF/7-DOF arms) and unstructured env navigation.
• Experience deploying robots to work in semi-structured environments using perception.
• Experience developing ML models for trajectory generation.
• Familiarity with Gazebo, MuJoCo, or Isaac for simulation.

For this role, we are seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer who will develop models and algorithms to generate safe and accurate trajectories on the robot. You’ll be responsible for deciding appropriate technical approaches in addition to implementing and testing the onboard motion planning stack.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 3 years developing motion planning software in a professional setting.
• Expertise with classical motion planning for articulated robots, such as 6-DOF/7-DOF arms, legged robots, snake robots, or humanoid robots.
• Experience with motion planning for navigation in unstructured environments.
• Previous experience deploying robots to work in semi-structured and unstructured environments using perception.
• Experience developing machine learning models for trajectory generation using RL or IL.
• Familiarity using simulation tools such as Gazebo, Mujoco, or Isaac.

What you’ll do:
