Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in applied robotics and software engineering.
• BS, MS, or PhD in a related field.
• Shipped production robots to customers.
• Familiar with C++ and ROS2 best practices, including testing and CI/CD.
• Experience debugging across hardware/software boundaries.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the autonomous software powering the Bonsai Intelligence fleet across applications and environments.
• Write production-grade C++, Python, and Rust in a ROS2 environment
• Bring innovative solutions and tackle a wide range of robotics challenges
• Review colleagues' code and design docs for correctness and system cohesion
• Support, debug, and solve issues across a global fleet of autonomous tractors and precision equipment
• Use data to drive development decisions and validate novel approaches
• Tackle complex engineering problems with a focus on safety, reliability, and extensibility
• Teach and learn alongside a broad robotics team
