Job summary

Inabia is seeking a Robotics Lab Engineer to join the System Verification and Validation team in Wilmington, MA, focusing on development and testing of robotics systems. You will own and operate test environments, maintain lab equipment, and help bring new labs online as the team grows.

In this hands‑on role you will repair hardware, test prototypes, and generate reports to support reproducibility. You will collaborate with hardware and software test engineers to keep verification on schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years in a technical lab or robotics environment operating, testing or maintaining equipment.
• Experience managing lab resources, equipment, and supplies.
• Experience troubleshooting electro‑mechanical systems, control systems (PLC/I/O) or lab equipment.
• Experience completing hardware rework and prototype testing.
• Experience managing lab operations such as materials stocking and test fixtures.
• Ability to read CAD drawings, schematics, equipment specifications and SOPs.
• Experience following safety protocols in lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments, fixtures, and lab equipment.
• Perform robot repairs and hardware rework to maintain readiness.
• Build, test, analyze, and validate robotic prototypes and subsystems.
• Deliver test reports, work instructions, and lessons learned.
• Identify process improvements and help new labs come online.
• Collaborate with hardware and software test engineers to stay on schedule.
• Onboard and mentor new technicians as the lab scales.
