Job summary

Inabia Solutions & Consulting is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the Physical AI Lab, owning design through testing and documentation. You will build test benches, manage prototype hardware integration, diagnose complex failures, and establish robust testing practices for the lab.

The role requires hands-on skills across schematics, bus analysis, Python scripting, and hardware modification, collaborating with hardware engineers, AI researchers, and lab operations to ensure accurate, repeatable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least seven years hands-on hardware development, test engineering, or related experience
• Experience reading schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and operate test benches for prototype robotic hardware and interfaces
• Develop test plans and acceptance criteria with hardware engineers
• Lead test execution, data collection, analysis, and documentation
• Create fixtures and test setups using fabrication, wiring, and scripting
• Train junior staff on equipment operation and procedures
• Improve test processes for repeatability and efficiency
• Lead hardware builds and integration of sensors, actuators, and compute modules
• Diagnose hardware issues across components and systems
• Validate communication protocols (CAN, EtherCAT, RS-485) and timing
