General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer to lead automation initiatives across Quonset Point, Groton, and adjacent facilities. You will drive hardware/software development, vendor engagements, and capability testing to advance robotic systems in support of submarine manufacture.

You will mentor teams, lead complex projects, and partner with Navy customers to implement cutting-edge robotics solutions while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field such as Robotics, Automation, Industrial/Manufacturing, Welding, Facilities, Systems, Mechatronics, Controls, Mechanical, Maritime, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of post‑graduate engineering experience.
• Demonstrated project management or task‑lead experience.

Responsabilités

• Identify automation and robotics opportunities across Quonset Point, Groton, and off-site facilities.
• Lead project management activities including specifications, vendor scopes, and budgets while maintaining schedules.
• Develop system hardware, create software, program robotics systems, and write technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and Navy customers.
