Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. The role supports investigation of quality deficiencies, development of corrective actions, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external customers including SOSG and NAVSEA.

You will work with EB leadership to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, 0–5 years of experience, and can read

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 0-5 years of postgraduate Engineering experience
• Ability to read and interpret company policies and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Engineering Related Software
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, and/or Tableau
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense
• Experience on cross-functional teams, especially those focused on problem resolution
• Project Management or “Systems” Engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of quality deficiencies at Quonset Point
• Assist in issues affecting Quonset Point at Groton, NNS or with Suppliers
• Develop recovery plans and coordinate multi-department efforts
• Interact with SOSG and NAVSEA and EB senior management through final resolution
• Support quality audits and ship certification activities
• Drive corrective actions and monitor progress to improve first-time quality at EB Quonset Point
