Job summary

Tennant Company is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer - Machine Integration Lead in the United States. You will lead machine-level integration across electromechanical systems and embedded software, coordinating across mechanical, electrical, controls, and partner technologies to deliver robust, compliant robot cleaning solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline is required; a master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in complex software-driven electromechanical products.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical execution on robotics or similar products is preferred.
• Experience applying product safety and machinery standards (IEC/UL/EMC/CE) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional planning for assigned machine systems and integration workstreams.
• Translate customer, business, regulatory, and technical needs into system requirements and specs.
• Coordinate subsystem design and machine-level integration across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software.
• Plan and facilitate cross-functional technical reviews and manage V&V readiness.
• Coordinate prototype builds, bench testing, and proofs of concept to mature designs.
• Support development of V&V plans and drive issue resolution with proper documentation.
• Coordinate integration with partner technologies and manage technical dependencies.
• Identify and mitigate risks using DFMEA, HARA, and DVP&R; ensure compliance.
