Tennant Company is seeking a Principal Robotics Engineer - Machine Integration Lead in Minnesota to lead system integration across electro-mechanical and software domains. You will drive architecture, supplier interfaces and V&V activities for robotic cleaning solutions.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, risk management, and adherence to IEC/UL standards, with an annual salary range posted and a path to advanced development within a global robotics program.

Formación

• Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Systems, or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in machine & systems integration on complex software driven electro-mechanical systems and leadership of project execution teams.
• Experience with autonomous mobile robotic products and industry standards like IEC/UL 60335-1, IEC/UL 60335-2-72, IEC 63327.
• Ability to translate program objectives into clear work plans and drive execution against milestones.
• Proficiency in systems engineering, requirements development, interfaces, traceability, integration, verification and validation, and risk management.
• Strong collaboration across Mechanical, Hardware, Systems, Software, Production, and Supply Chain teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cross-functional technical planning by defining system scope, deliverables, interfaces and owners.
• Translate customer, business and technical requirements into clear technical specifications linked to V&V activities.
• Lead in the delivery and integration of system and sub-system design efforts across boundaries to meet cost, performance and quality.
• Direct disciplined design reviews to surface risks, drive actionable feedback, and ensure readiness for prototype and production builds.
• Plan, build and coordinate prototype builds and integration events to support V&V of POCs and requirements.
• Lead end-to-end partner technology integration and align internal and external teams on timelines and expectations.
• Evaluate design risks with DFMEA/HARA and ensure compliance with Machinery Directive and standards.
