Job summary

Tennant Company is seeking a Principal Robotics Engineer - Machine Integration Lead in Minneapolis, MN to drive the integration of complex electro-mechanical and software systems within Robotics products. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, partner technologies, and rigorous V&V activities to translate the product vision into robust, cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, system architecture, and risk-based decision making, with a focus on compliant designs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Systems, or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required.
10+ years of machine & systems integration experience leading cross-functional teams.
Experience with autonomous mobile robotic products meeting IEC/UL standards and Machinery Directive requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead system integration across electro-mechanical, software, and partner technologies.
Translate product vision into compliant, cost-effective designs with robust system architectures.
Coordinate risk management and design reviews, including V&V milestones.
Plan prototyping, de-risking, and integration events with cross-functional teams.
