Job summary

Tennant Company is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to join the Robotics Product Development organization. The role focuses on embedded and connected software powering robotic cleaning machines and related platforms.

You will collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, and other Software Engineers to translate requirements into robust software that meets quality and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Software or Computer Engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, including embedded or systems-adjacent development.
• Hands-on C/C++ development; Linux/RTOS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software on Linux/RTOS.
• Support hardware/software integration and debugging.
• Develop software interfacing with connected and distributed systems (CAN/CANOpen, Ethernet/USB).
• Follow Agile or iterative development processes and maintain design docs.
