Tennant Company in Minneapolis seeks a Principal Robotics Engineer - Machine Integration Lead to guide cross-functional system integration of electro-mechanical and software components, including partner tech like Brain Corp.

You will drive technical planning, architecture, V&V strategies, and risk mitigation, delivering robust, cost-effective designs for autonomous cleaning solutions, with a focus on UL/IEC standards and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; master's preferred.
• 10+ years in machine and systems integration with leadership experience.
• Experience with AMR/robotic products and IEC/UL standards desirable.
• Strong systems engineering: requirements, architecture, traceability, verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional planning and define system scope with clear owners.
• Translate customer and technical requirements into specifications linked to V&V.
• Lead system architecture and integration across mechanical, software, and partner technologies.
• Coordinate design reviews ensuring risk mitigation and readiness for prototype builds.
• Oversee prototyping, de-risking, and verification activities with DFMEA/HARA.
