Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to join our Irving, TX team. You will build and deploy autonomous robotics software across perception, planning, and control, taking ideas from prototype to production on real hardware.

You should have deep hands-on experience with C++ and Python, ROS, and AI/SLAM topics, plus a track record of delivering production-quality robotics products. This on-site role offers relocation support and a path to impact machines on real jobsites.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of related engineering experience.
• Full-lifecycle robotics product experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience deploying robotics on real hardware.

Responsibilities

• Participate in test review, analysis, witnessing and certification of robotics software.
• Design, build, and ship autonomy components across perception, planning, control, and learning.
• Take work from prototype to production on real hardware.
• Contribute depth in your specialty while collaborating across the stack.
• Work in small pods with clear ownership from our capability benches.
