Caterpillar Inc. is seeking entry-level engineers for the Autonomous and Intelligent Systems team in Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX.

You will contribute to AI-powered technologies enabling intelligent machines and work on robotics, simulation, and software architecture with hands-on ownership from day one. The role focuses on building Physical AI capabilities across Robotics, Simulation, and Autonomy, with onsite work five days a week and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering or computing field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or academic projects welcome).
• GPA 3.0/4.0 (no rounding) required.
• Experience with robotics, autonomy, mechatronics, or embedded systems via projects.
• Hands-on experience with autonomous robots, machines, or sensor-based systems.
• Experience using simulation, modeling, or digital twin tools for validation.
• Exposure to ROS/ROS2, Python, embedded systems, firmware, real-time software, and related interfaces.
