GrayMatter Robotics is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Design & Mechatronics team onsite in Carson, CA, delivering mechanical designs for robotic systems that perform reliably in real manufacturing environments. You will drive hardware selection, DFx, and validation activities while mentoring junior engineers.

Collaborating with electrical and software teams, you will implement robust, scalable solutions for our RaaS platform and contribute to lifecycle management from concept

Competenze

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with 3D solid modeling, analysis, and development of 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes; manual/CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, plastic prototyping.

Mansioni

• Design hardware and mechanisms for robotic systems with emphasis on performance and reliability.
• DFM-focused EOAT design and ISO safety guideline compliance.
• Conduct complex FEA and thermal simulations to validate design integrity and optimize geometry.
