Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design for robotics or similar fields.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to generate toleranced drawings.
• Experience prototyping and testing hardware assemblies.
• Familiarity with simulation (FEA) and MATLAB is a plus.
• Ability to document design processes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design parts in 3D CAD meeting load, form factor and durability requirements.
• Build prototypes to test assembly, motion, and wiring routing.
• Create accurate 2D drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Collaborate with GSM team to select suppliers and order parts.
• Inspect first articles and support parts on robot development platforms.
