Skild AI is seeking a Senior Robot Animator to bring our robotic platforms to life through rigging, keyframe animation, and data-driven retargeting. You'll work with robotics, simulation, and hardware teams to produce motion for both simulation and real hardware.

Ideal candidates have strong keyframe craft, experience with Maya or Blender, and a track record animating humanoid or robotic characters in complex environments. This role offers collaboration across innovative projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years animating professionally in film/VFX, games, or robotics.
• Expert keyframe animation with a strong sense of weight and timing.
• Rigging experience with mechanical or articulated characters.

Responsibilities

• Author robot motion in Maya (or Blender) using keyframe, procedural, and capture-based techniques.
• Collaborate with robotics engineers to move motion from digital content to hardware.
• Choreograph multi-robot sequences and motion cut to music or camera.
• Deliver finished rendered work and sequences performed by the machines.
• Build motion libraries and retargeting to support simulation and ML work.
• Partner with hardware teams on previz and range-of-motion studies.
