Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Minnesota Roadway Practice Lead to join our Minneapolis team. You will oversee staffing budgets, forecast staff capacity, and manage engineering and design efforts across disciplines for major road/highway programs.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with engineering software. You will work closely with project managers to ensure quality, schedule, and productivity while upholding Parsons' standards and pursuing business development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) required.
• 15+ years of related Road & Highway experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.
• MN Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society may be required.
• Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity; excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Knowledge of current technology and capabilities of engineering software for completing assignments.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving discipline staffing budgets and staffing assignment schedules on each project.
• Maintaining appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel, as needed.
• Reviewing and approving staff forecasting reports.
• Managing all engineering and design efforts for all disciplines on major programs.
• Coordinating all discipline staffing requirements for programs.
• Monitoring quality and progress of the discipline on each project; ensuring production requirements are met.
• Collaborating with Project Managers to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, or productivity issues.
• Ensuring compliance with Parsons' and project standards and procedures.
• Recommending improvements to department procedures; supporting pre-contract and business development as technical consultant.
