Job summary

Parsons in Minneapolis is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation Office. This role focuses on leading design and analysis for road/highway projects, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions on local DOT projects.

You will work with Microstation, InRoads/OpenRoads, Civil 3D and related tools, prepare drawings and specs, perform quantity takeoffs, and review supplier drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 8+ years of relevant civil road/highway design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• DOT project experience.
• Experience with Microstation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
• OpenRoads experience/proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of design and analysis functions for road/highway & related projects.
• Perform vertical alignments, horizontal impacts, analyze cross-sections, calculate super-elevations, and grading.
• Perform complex engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates & surveys.
• Use Microstation, InRoads, OpenRoads & OpenRoads/Civil 3D for designs.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and procurement/construction materials.
• Coordinate across disciplines.
• Prepare requisitions for equipment & materials; review supplier submittals.
• Prepare and issue specifications and datasheets.
