Job summary

Parsons in Minneapolis is hiring a Roadway Engineer II to join our team on major transportation projects. You will independently develop and supervise contract documents, define scope, establish budgets and schedules, plan work, provide technical direction, and report progress.

The role requires a Master's in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of experience, CAD proficiency, and DOT road design expertise. You will mentor junior staff and grow toward leading project development in the future.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
5+ years of related work experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate may be required.
Proficiency with CAD and road design software.
Experience with 3D finite element models.
DOT road and wall design experience.

Responsibilities

Independently develop and/or supervise creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements.
Analyze design issues and provide detail design.
Deliver products including calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design/installation packages, and technical reports.
Support other discipline activities as necessary.
Mentor young staff and provide performance input.
Develop skills to lead project development in the future.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD Drafters on projects.
