Job summary

HNTB is seeking an experienced CEI Senior Roadway Inspector for FDOT construction work in North Florida. The role supports projects in Gainesville, Green Cove Springs, Jacksonville and surrounding areas, with a focus on asphalt, concrete and earthwork.

The ideal candidate has FDOT CEI experience, the required state certifications, and is ready to contribute to our local inspection team as part of a growing program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; 6 years of construction-related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
• FDOT CEI experience in roadway construction is preferred (4+ years).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, observe, document, and verify work to ensure compliance with schedule and plans.
• Apply inspection practices to perform calculations and measurements.
• Maintain daily inspector reports with labor, equipment, and materials data.
• Perform on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
