Job summary

HNTB is seeking an experienced CEI Senior Roadway Inspector for FDOT construction projects in Central Florida, based in Celebration, FL near Kissimmee. You will verify contractor work, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with plans, specs and schedule.

The role requires 4+ years FDOT CEI roadway experience, valid certificates, and strong ability to read plans, perform on-site testing, and communicate findings clearly. Local candidates are preferred to support nearby projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 6 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform complicated mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
