Job summary

HNTB in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced CEI professional for current and future construction work in Central Florida. FDOT Asphalt, Concrete and Earthwork experience is a must.

You will perform office management engineer work, assist with field tasks, monitor construction activities, read plans, review daily reports, and coordinate with the Resident Engineer to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (relevant field) with 4+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with FDOT projects and CEI roles preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Performs office management engineer work including meeting agendas and minutes.
• Monitors field tasks to ensure conformance to plans and specifications.
• Performs or observes on-site material testing; reviews quantities and material requirements.
• Reads and interprets construction drawings and specs to identify discrepancies.
